About us
Why Organic Cotton?
"We want to spread the benefits of organic cotton to more mothers in Japan." Quokka Organic was started with this idea in mind.
The owner of Quokka Organic had various problems with allergies since childhood. Then, when she had her own child, she started to look for underwear and clothes that would come into direct contact with her child's skin and that would be as gentle and soft as possible. Usually, products that use 100% organic cotton tend to be expensive, but when she actually bought a romper and tried it on, she was impressed by the soft texture and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that it is made of safe materials that are not harmful to babies. She says that she realized that adding organic cotton to her child's wardrobe had brought comfort and ease to their lives.
About our products
We learned that overseas there is an abundance of organic cotton and environmentally friendly products. Furthermore, some companies not only produce environmentally friendly products, but also thoroughly screen whether the people sewing in developing countries are employed fairly. Although we have started handling some products that do not use organic cotton, these companies produce products ethically, supporting the global environment and fair employment.
By handling these carefully selected products from Europe and Australia, we hope to indirectly deliver "good products" that are considerate of the global environment to our Japanese customers.
That is also our mission.
